Chaos Theory part 2...

Okay... as i'm sure you're either aware (on a personal level), or have ascertained (via the contents of this blog): I just happen to be 'Scatter-Brained' beyond belief.

It's a by product of being over-creative, and I sincerely hope it doesn't alarm you (as much as it does me).

Thing is... today, has been frenzied as f***... I went workplace and a bag of other networking locations, with the same forceful nature... tantamount to kicking doors through... and approaching with all the grace of a smiling menace -_- seriously, this energy i'm filling within might as well be 'the shining'

Anyways, I've gone off tangent, as I do, so back to what I'm saying!

I'm running around currently to organise a 'visual art's fair' of sorts in the 1st half of June... I don't wanna talk too much of things not fully brought to fruition, as I'd rather 'weave' and then 'keep you guys in the loop' as developments follow developments :p

On that note...

These are 2 (unfinished) digital pieces of mine, that it's only right I share!

At the moment, I'm trying to gorge on as much study material as possible to boost my capabilities. My incursion into art and digital art has been all self-taught, so now i'm at a crossroads. I feel confident in my ability to 'take it to market', but the need for explosive levels of momentum and improvement are such that; it's far from the time to feel cosy or contented.

Expo in May...

And while I'd definitely say it's early to act like I'm ready for a seat on the 'artist alley' yet, I feel like my styles definitely coming into it's own...

I've found a nice way of working with sketches on GIMP so that very little of the pencil shading is lost.

I have to admit I rushed towards the end (couldn't wait to reach 'show and tell') but i'm gassed to say the least ^_^

Next steps to slap this on my deviant art account and get to work on something else

  (might even have to change that gaudy wallpaper, the animal prints making my left eyebrow drift upwards )

Okay, so I'm currently in the process of setting up my own 'graphics studio'; and although it is decidedly 

Somewhere in East London...

'Shanty Town', (due to the high volume of 'pre-loved' tech), 

I can't help but feel smitten as it all comes together!

I've got a graphics tablet coming on Thursday, and I've really got to give thanks, cos it's a tad precarious right now - I have a scanner to copy the huge amount of sketches I've done, but it needs an adapter I don't have in order to power it...

Fact is, at certain times it's so 'peak', I've considered that I may need 2nd hand technology sent in a container from Africa *_*

"Gonna take Bizzy a lifetime to search through all that sh*t there yo..." 

There's an interface which i'm supposed to create for someone, and it also do with me creating a font to go with it -_- sweet fizzy'uck all is what I know about typography, so i'd better go get them there reading glasses out... meh!

Okay! After a stress or two during the day, 

I've retreated back to my 'workstation' in an attempt to add more to my portfolio!

and asked (very nicely) if I could colour it...

Florence T very kindly said 'Yes', 

so that's what I've been up to since!

The power on my machine just went...

All isn't lost though, still finished the last two pics I had troubling me...

Currently I'm working around the clock to bolster my portfolio as a 'Graphic Artist'. There are loads of unfinished pictures on my hard drive, but this is the one I'm trying to finish right now...

Hopefully it gets done tonight - whatever happens, I'll upload the finished pic here!

Missing...

I really must stop being irratic. I'd prefer to flow with euphimisms such 'eccentric', but the reflection staring back at me is that of a monster; an espresso guzzling calamity of ideas tapping away at a keyboard as cigarette smoke dances to the sounds of vibrant indie music.

It's likely Two Door Cinema Club will be my band for the summer, my professional careers status is less tangible.

In terms of physical progress, my skills have steadily improved, the problem is I need to come out of cave mode.

Since I stopped consistently blogging I've mainly been bolstering my skilss as an graphic artist. I swapped updating facebook statuses for sketching at every oppurtunity, everytime i've turned on the computer recently its been to finish panels for my webcomic rather than to blog.

Posting no longer feels like second nature... but hopefully it's like riding a bike, because fact is Bizzy Dots back.

Do wat I want...

Your average MC spits bars; very few can say they spit lava, Dizzle can say he does.

The 'Do wot I want' EP is testament to that.

Even though he may have been somewhat inactive recently, as both a long time mainstay in the grime scene and the sibling of a succesful artists - Dizzle already has history.

This is the 'sophomore effort' from an artist many have always had great expectations from, and quite possibly proof that Dizzle already has a future.

Although the production comes from names as sterling as 'Faze Miyaki' and 'Bless Beats', one has to respect the loyalty that is getting Bruza and Mayhem rather than some of the more 'en vogue' names to guest.

There'll always be 'pretenders to the thrown' out here in the Grime Scene, but with Dizzle ready to go, it seems many may get a spanner in their works! This clash spinner / rave burner has come along way in order to be a fully fledged artist and this is clearly just the beginning...

Home Straight...

Ok!

We're officially getting close now - 

It's just over a week until the Newham Classic 10k and things are gathering pace.

We still have to get t-shirts printed...

which will look roughly like this

and although in terms physical fundraising things are going well,

online fundraising isn't getting off the ground as quick...

The Barnardo's site has had two donations, but the Care Leaver's Association hasn't had any as yet.

With only 7 days left until the big day, it's more than time for us to both intensify efforts and also encourage people more to give.

So here's the truth - you can afford to give

All too often "We buy things we don't need, with money we don't have, to impress people we don't like." which is pointless, where as giving to charity is sensible and will also make you feel good!

Oi what you looking at....

There are 2 things I can say about the single: it’s most certainly grime (more so than most singles by currently successful ‘urban artists’), it’s not the best from the artist formerly known as ‘Doogz’.

I’m just picky...  so seeing as I’ve previously heard Goodz ‘go blind’, I didn’t go crazy about this.

Between tracks already in the public domain such as Gunshot and Letter to Titch, and tracks from the Boyz in the Hood era (pre- Titch’s incarceration) that are harder to find - this is not his greatest. It is however his most commercial tune to date, and although I have my doubts about this track, it is still sick!
Thoroughly Grime at the same time as being catchy enough to ‘do the rounds’ chart-wise.

He showcases his versatility in terms of flow and the productions good, but it’s just a bit too aesthetic for me. I’ve heard Goodz ‘go in’ before (believe me!); this track feels more like a teaser, but that’s okay, I’m sure the next ones gonna be lava.

My verdict – Straight cop! Furthermore, familiarise yourself with the works of this young Gentleman, he has been and still is an important part of Grime.

Overall - 6.5/10

Shenanigans!!

If you don't know about 'Shenanigans' you simply ain't grime... but that's OK!

The artist I'm talking about could show you the ropes easily, although it's cliched to call a Grime artist the

Durty Goodz could easily be called a reputable 118 number when it comes to this scene - anyways before I go way off tangent with that particular analogy, let me show you people what's good!

One things for sure, somebody looks like they have no plans on making watered down grime.

It's not Goodz's best, but it definitely is good!

Fine!?!? Fine then... but you didn't find an easy fine.

At around 8ish this morning I had a run in with an 'undercover enforcer' for Newham Council,who attempted to fine me

£50 for littering.

I must state at this point that I was not...

fly-tipping,

or throwing a half eaten panini at a Community Support Officer.

He caught me dropping a cigarette on the floor...

In my defense there's no 'fag-bin' on the wall, so I'd never really thought of an alternative.

Anyways,

the way the whole situation transpired was really quite surreal

(maybe because I had pretty much just woke up),

 he stopped me and pulled out his Council Badge 

which just happened to be official looking to an unnecessary extent, adorned with some coat of arms and i'm sure meant to intimidate as soon as revealed.

He explained that he was fining me for dropping my butt on the floor and emplored me to give him my details. I was in the process of creating false information to give him, when all of a sudden I felt this immense disdain towards the idea of having to invent some pseudo-persona and accompanying information to give this man.

I told him "... Actually, no..."

and he was a little taken aback, I think partly by my defiance and the contagiousness of my morning-stupidity but I had to ask him "Sorry... you're going to have to walk me through this again"

and he was like "I'm fining you because I just watched you walk up and throw down your cigarette butt"

so my response was "Why didn't you stop me!?!"

to which he said "Why didn't you put it in the bin!?!"

I was like "A lit fag in the bin? C'mon there's not even a cigarette bin here what do you expect?"

to which his implausible response was that firstly we're responsible for the localtion of cigarette bins and furthermore, that I should've dotted the butt out and "Put it in my cigarette box"

by this time I think communications had broke down because he reverted to asking for me details.

He certainly wasn't happy when I told him "You'll just have to phone the police",

 but the fact is his attempt to scare me by mentioning the magistrate didn't work, So we were at the kind of stalemate that can only be resolved with police intervention.

Still, It brought real Christmas cheer to my heart getting to tell him "No, and it's ok... I have a blog!"

the last time he asked "what's your date of birth" 

adding that I could "Complain after providing my details".

Eventually he let me go, as not only would it've been time consuming to detain me, but also'people like myself' clearly weren't the intended target of the 'mornings operation'.

These two council officials were there to try draw money out of the people on the way to work. Which is quite sad seeing as they'd've been better placed gritting the dangerous pavements so these same people could get to work and generate income for the local area.

I know the countries broke, but the local authorities could at least have some class to their money making exercises.

For me,

today was a remarkable

and frankly I'm disappointed!

Marger/ The New Waves now...

Daniel Thomas may be smarter than you...

I'm just saying... 

He already knows that 'you can't be a Boss unless your paying someone's salary',
his skills when it comes to organisation / vision is scary to be honest.

Marger's musical product is so authentically grime, but everything from business thinking to online presence is thoroughly more clinical.

For instance, the way Marger carries himself on Twitter speaks volumes - He never says anything counter-productive or stupid, he never ends up looking conceited or self-important.

 I went college with Marger for like a year back in the day so I can tell you a few things-

A) He's really that dude - He is road... SNM

B) He's actually nuts - When he 1st said he was sending for Underground Unit on his own, I remember thinking are you serious!?!  But that was no joke *_* Dude was both capable and felt provoked enough.

Anyways, I chat I chat and really it's not necesarry because Margers work and work ethic speaks for itself,

I won't lie... 

I've in the past said "Why doesn't Skepta just sticky to producky tho",

I must state at this point, that such an utterance was borne out of preference for

his beats rather than any disdain towards his 'micmanship' 

(from meridian walk to all of the different DTI versions).
That day, when I first heard Skepta say 'diss my choon'
I honestly thought, 'Stop being silly B, who disses your choons?!?'
Furthermore, I thought he was merely playing, playing with MC'ing...

I had obviously spoken too soon,

He was being deadly 'Serious!'

Obviously both Adenuga's greet each day "Kilonshile!? How far now!?!?" 

because the amount of movement and consistency shown by both is inspirational,

with far less comprimising on the 'Grime' side of things, might I add.

Emerging artists should take note,

the Boy Better Know greenandwhiteprint looks both sturdy and viable.

I hope they will achieve the level's the deserve, and recognise Skepta

as capable of bringing this scene to prominence

without diluting it's potency...

Return Of The Rivz...

As the guy who deals with 'Challenging stereotypes and motivating to achieve'
(I don't 'just blog randomly')
it might not make sense to most that I'm promoting anything from
'Mr Headshot Season'.

That's OK though I'll explain...

Dude's Young, Gifted and Talented (not to mention local), furthermore him and Marger grind daily. They 'do this ting', I remember Margz from days at East Ham College, and truly I have to take my hat off. Within the time that myself and old-school Mic Partner Faze-E have stopped and started more time's than a bruck down mini-metro...

 Marger is currently CEO of Alien Musik and has definitely shaken his former 'background guy' status, he deserves it too! I remember him hi-jacking a College performance once, he literally stole the show. He's formed a strong squad with himself,  producer RudeKid and Rival being the most notable members

(not to mention the fact 'RAM' is soon 're-available for selection' TTKK)

Anyways, Rival does alot! 

He's an angry guy... the first time I heard dude use the phrase 'Come we go!'

it immediately conjured the image of...

Ultimately, neither Rival's content or persona is 'in line' with 'Challenging stereotypes and motivating to achieve' but his workrate and dexterity definitely are. I'm sure the day this young Mic Man truly gives you 'insight' it will be more than poignant. For the moment the passion and energy he brings will surely suffice! One of East London's Top Selected, from one of East London's hardest working camps.

Another Legend Gone...

I just heard... 

RIP Gregory Isaacs

We've lost yet another legend. 

Reports say that he died in his London home, afer having suffered from Lung Cancer.

All of us real music fan's will miss you!

Stroke of genius...

This post isn't about the last Batman film to be released, although it was brilliant. It was such a great film mainly because Heath Ledger stole the show. The role of the Joker was played out with enough style and charisma to make him feel like an Anti-Hero...

Really good catchphrase eh. 

 Here's a simple answer to it though...

"why so serious!?!",

"because eventually people will have to take you seriously".

Giselle is very serious, Bailiff levels of serious. 

She is a versatile and driven Make-up artist with plans and structure to match. Her 'hustle' is both strong at grassroots level, and online. She is on both Facebook and Twitter so you can have a look at what she does, also her website is nigh on completion.

A major part of my respect for 'her grind' is built on her understanding of the build then diversify school of thought. Like Will Kay whom I wrote a previous piece on, Giselle has plans on more than just the prizes you'd immediately associate with her 'particular ballpark'. 

'Shugah' can sing some too... but that's a different blog post lol.

Just know this, even if...

 your eyes are shut to this portion of the Media/Art/Fashion world, it doesn't matter.

For the moment, Giselle can remain a 'TTKK thing'. 

Work rate and dexterity breed success. So it won't take her too long to be where she wants to be.

If you only know her name when it's unavoidable, so be it!
